Carrington and I connected INSTANTLY. After cry laughing with her for an hour, the team finally stopped us and told us that we HAD to start recording. When the interview was over, I was genuinely sad to leave her. Our energy was so aligned. We are two extreme extroverts, so as annoying as we probably were to everyone around us, we needed this conversation with each other. It changed me somehow. It confirmed in me that I have a place here. That I matter in this industry being just exactly who I am. Carrington is GOLD and one of the most down to earth, real people that I have met in the industry. Our episode will forever be so special to me.
I don’t know that I have been able to put into words why this trip to New York was so important, but connecting with people on this level in this beauty industry and really feeling like I have made a place with all of this, it’s exactly what I needed. We can often hold ourselves back thinking that we are in places we don’t belong. I don’t often share this side of what I am doing, but BIG, BIG doors have opened for me and it’s so refreshing to have other people in the industry that bring out exactly who I am.
